<p><strong>Monemvasia for Lovers</strong></p>

<p>Suggestions for all couples looking for a romantic few days in the medieval fortress.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Day</em></strong></p>

<p>First take a walk through the narrow lanes of the fortress before having dinner at one of the picturesque tavernas. Finish the evening with a drink in one of the bars within the town walls.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Day&nbsp;</em></strong></p>

<p>No need to do absolutely anything! Spend the morning lying in for complete relaxation! If you want to stretch your legs a little later, climb up to the Upper Town or head for one of the nearby beaches. As evening falls, take a leisurely walk over the causeway to Gefyra for some fresh fish and a traditional sweet.</p>

<p><strong>3rd Day</strong></p>

<p>Begin your exploration of the area with an excursion to the north along the rugged coastline with its wooded cliffs and striking landscape, heading for <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/kyparissi-2/?lang=en"><u><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Kyparissi</span></u></a>. Your route takes you through <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/port-of-gerakas/?lang=en"><u><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Gerakas</span></u></a>, with its unusual fjord. Stop for a swim at <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/drymiskos-beach/?lang=en"><u><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Drymiskos</span></u></a> beach where you may be the only visitors. Drymiskos is accessible only foot or four-wheel drive. The entire route has several places of interest (see <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/the-northern-driving-route-zarakas/?lang=en"><u><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Zarakas</span></u></a> route).</p>

<p><strong>4th Day</strong></p>

<p>Today’s excursion takes you south to an area rich in natural and historic sights, beautiful beaches and hiking trails.&nbsp; After a swim at <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/pounta-viglafia/?lang=en"><u><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Pouda</span></u></a>, or opposite on the island of Elafonisos, you must not miss a visit to the <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/kastania-cave/?lang=en"><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Kastania Cave</span></a>. Finish your day with a meal at one of Neapoli’s fish restaurants. (Additional places of interest are suggested in the routes <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/the-southern-driving-route-no-1-vatika-1/?lang=en"><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Vatika Νο.1</span></a>, <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/the-southern-driving-route-no-2-vatika-2/?lang=en"><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color"><u>Vatika No</u>. 2</span></a> and <a href="https://monemvasia.gr/the-southern-driving-route-vatika-no-3/?lang=en"><span class="has-inline-color has-blue-color">Vatika Νο.3</span></a>).</p>

<p><strong>5th Day</strong></p>

<p>Before leaving Monemvasia, don’t forget to buy yourselves a present from among the many excellent products available in the town’s traditional stores, such as wine, organic olives and olive oil, sweets and many other high quality wares. Even better, visit the producers themselves – they are to be found not far from the fortress town.</p>
